Jane Hume

Jane Hume, Australian Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Productivity

 

Jane Hume is an Australian Liberal Party politician who has been a Senator for Victoria since 2016. With a background in the financial services industry, Hume brings a wealth of experience to her political roles.

 

Prior to entering politics, Hume held various roles in the banking sector, including at National Australia Bank and Deutsche Bank. She also worked at AustralianSuper, one of Australia’s largest superannuation funds.

 

Since entering the Senate, Hume has been an advocate for financial and digital reforms. She has held several parliamentary committee positions, with a focus on finance and economics. By 2022, she was serving as the Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy, and Productivity, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s policies in these areas.
