Dr. Megan Clark, Head of Australian Space Agency
Dr. Megan Clark is an accomplished geologist and executive. By 2022, she was known for her role as the inaugural head of the Australian Space Agency (ASA), which was established in 2018.
Dr. Clark holds a BSc in geology from the University of Western Australia and a PhD in economic geology from Queen’s University, Canada. Before joining the Australian Space Agency, Dr. Clark was the Chief Executive of CSIRO from 2009 to 2014.
As head of the ASA, Dr. Clark has been instrumental in guiding the agency’s vision and strategy, aiming to position Australia as a significant player in the global space industry. She has emphasized the importance of international collaboration, commercial ventures, and harnessing space capabilities for broader societal benefits.
